To Do or To Not Do . . . . .

As I travel the world of business, I find that too many people are looking for the next thing "to do" with respect to getting better at what they are doing or attempting to do. If you keep looking for something new you are going to end up with a lot of things "to do" and have little to show for that. I want to suggest that leadership is also about "not doing". Look at some of the situations you are dealing with and ask yourself what is it that I should take a risk "not doing" - what results would I produce if I stopped doing "X"? For example - "what would happen if I stopped doing all the talking"?

Leadership is not relying on the "automatic" you.
